Hey WOLF Guys and Gals,

This week we have 3 looooong videos for you to watch.There is a lot of information in each video but I really want us to get a sense of the breadth of information and knowledge and not to worry about remembering details. If you find that you are losing the plot or story then stop watching and try again a bit later. If you really lose focus then stop. Just do your best and see how much you can follow staying focussed.

This week I am going to try to arrange a group conference call, where we can all get on the computer at the same time and go through a video together, discussing it as we go along. In the future we will do this each wednesday so that students who are with us and students who are at home can discuss the videos together as we watch them together.

As usual try to watch the videos with a friend of family member so that you can stop the video and discuss as you go along.

The students presenting this week will be Hector rand Jeremy for one presentation, Amber and Malena for another presentation and Nathan, Trinity and Nevaeh for the third presentation.

First watch the video all the way through to get the general argument or information. Afterwards make notes of what seemed like the most interesting or important information. Next, watch it again in sections. Don’t try to write down word for word what is said in the video. Instead, watch one section , then take notes of your understanding in your own words. when you have all your notes, think about how you would like to present the information and what props would be helpful. Maybe a map or pictures would help. Get creative!
